Why am I having trouble connecting to WASPcam WiFi?
For Samsung (Android OS) users: If having trouble connecting to WASpcam wifi, turn off cellular data. This will allow you to connect to the app.

Why can’t I use the Photo Burst, Time-Lapse, or Self-Timer features when the WASPcam App is connected to my smartphone?

The WASPcam App is not able to control these three modes because the camera itself does. The App does not have the capability to recognize a Time-Lapse, Photo Burst, or Self-Timer. The only two modes that can be used when connected to WASPcam App are video and still-photography.

Can I use the Wireless Wrist Remote and WASPcam App at the same time?
No, the WASPcam App only recognizes one or the other devices to allow control.

Experiencing ‘choppy playback’ with your WASPcam? Read below on how to cure your problems:

If you are experiencing choppy or broken up playback when viewing your WASPcam videos, this usually comes down to your computer being out of date and its not able to process the data of larger HD video files fast enough.  Ensure that the video files are recorded properly by playing the videos on a TV with a WASPcam HDMI cable, or your own cables if you have them already.  You should get proper smooth playback on your TV.

We have a few suggestions for you to try that should clear up the choppy playback issue that you’re seeing on your computer:

  1.  Copy videos to your computer’s hard drive from your WASPcam SD card before you play them back.  Playing back videos from your SD card can result in choppy playback.
  2.  Play back your videos with VLC Media Player. This is a free program that doesn’t take up a lot of resources to run on your computer.  This means that your computer can focus more on playing back your videos smoothly.  We’ve found that it’s common for Windows Media Player or Quicktime to give you choppy playback, so we recommend against using them. You can download VLC Media Player here: www.videolan.org.  If you’re looking for a quick fix, you might want to skip down to Step 4.
  3.  Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements to play back videos from your camera.

Here’s how you can check if your computer meets the minimum system requirements:

Click the “apple” icon in the top left corner of your screen, and then click “About this Mac”.  Next, click “More Info.”  On ”
Click on the Start Menu, then right-click on the word “Computer” or “My Computer”, and click “Properties.”  Once you have done this, scroll down to the System Information for Processor and RAM.  You can find your graphics card by clicking on the small arrow to the left of “Display Adapters” in your Device Manager.

  1.  Record video in a lower video resolution. If your computer can’t play 1080p 60fps or 1080p 30fps smoothly, try recording videos in a 720p mode instead.  The lower resolution means that your computer will have less work to do when playing back the video, so will have an easier time giving you smooth playback.
